Fantastic Magic Camp 20 years of sharing our magic with children ages 5 to 12. The Magic Camp is often cited by children as the most fun they’ve had all summer. Each day, the campers have classes in magic, juggling, puppetry, ventriloquism, clowning, balloon sculpture and more. Every day ends with a show by a professional magician or variety entertainer.
Everyone on our staff has received at least 300 hours of targeted training in Life Skills, Teaching, Special Needs and Performing. Together they strive to give your child a sense of self worth and to provide them with a true sense of community. The Magic Camp is a mainstream camp with an impressive record in dealing with children with special needs. We treat every child as a unique individual with special needs, talents and gifts.

kidsActing Studio 2012 is upon us, and that means summer will be here before we know it--and so parents are already seeking out the best camps and summer programs in Central Texas. Fortunately, as always, you can count on kidsActing to help make that search easier! kidsActing is Central Texas' premiere performing arts school for kids; and in 2010, they celebrated their 30th Anniversary! Over the last three decades, they have received numerous prestigious awards, including from Nickelodeon, Austin Family, and the B. Iden Payne Committee, plus so many nods from the Austin Chronicle they have been inducted into the Best of Austin Hall of Fame!
kidsActing hosts award-winning summer camps in 14 convenient locations across Central Texas, including seven in Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Westlake, Oak Hill, and Lakeway. kidsActing's summer camps are for anyone ages 4-19, from first-time actors to the most seasoned performers. They offer one-week and two-week camps, including half-day classes for the little ones! From classic fairy tale musicals to swashbuckling adventure plays, there really is something for everyone who wants their moment in their spotlight (and they'll learn about cooperation, collaboration, and the magic of theatre along the way!).

VSA New Media Arts Camp VSA Texas New Media Arts camps offer a variety of classes and events designed to support young adults with disabilities in their transition from school to work, culture and their communities. New Media Arts is a combination of traditional arts such as music, dance, visual art and theater mixed with digital technology such as photography, video and recording. Participants tour local digital media studios and work with professional artists to learn basic media production and music recording skills, while participating in traditional art forms of theater improvisation, music, and visual arts. We believe the NMA camps provide a contemporary learning environment that supports creativity, adult learning, leadership development, cooperation and teamwork, while building digital technology skills - a vital key to successful adult life. VSA Texas New Media Arts camps are inclusive, small in size, and carefully planned to meet the diverse needs, interests and learning modes of students with disabilities, including young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
New Media Arts teaching artist staff includes: Carol J. Stensrud, Ed.D. CTRS, holds a doctorate in Recreation Therapy and is a certified recreation therapist; Purly Gates, a professional singer/songwriter/educator; and Celia Hughes, VSA Texas Executive Director and theater professional. College level student interns provide additional staffing support.
